  ABC cable: That is, overhead type bundled cable, widely used in many underdeveloped areas, including 1 core, 2 cores, 3 cores, 4 cores: Covered line wire, Duplex service drop, Triplex service drop, Quadruple x Service Drop. It includes all insulated cores, two insulated cores with one bare conductor, three insulated cores with one bare conductor, pure aluminum or pure aluminum and aluminum alloy mixed with stranded, etc.

Features:

Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC cable) is a very innovative concept for overhead power distribution as compared to the conventional bare conductor overhead cable.Suitable for rated voltage 0.6/1kV and below in overhead power lines, can be used as fixed laying or lead-in line, and also for low-voltage cable distribution.t provides a higher level of safety and reliability, lower power losses, and ultimate system economy by reducing installation, maintenance, and operative cost. LV Aerial Bundle Cables are designed to supply 600/1000 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, as a service drop (power pole to service entrance), as a secondary cable (pole to pole), or for street lighting. This overhead cable provides reinforced insulation acc. IEC 61140 and fulfill therefore Class II acc. IEC 61140. It is not flame retardant. But this could be if the requested change to a flame retardant cable. 

Duplex service drop wire, whose main component is 1350-H19 aluminum, with concentrically stranded phase wires and PVC or XLPE insulation. The neutral core is made of concentrically stranded AAC, ACSR, or 6201 aluminum alloy. Primarily used for 120V overhead service applications such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, and temporary building services. The voltage between phases is 600V and below, and the conductor temperature does not exceed 75°C for PVC-insulated conductors and 90°C for XLPE-insulated conductors.

Required Standard

Standard:

0.6/1KV overhead insulated cable: GB12527-90 is equivalent to IEC60502 and IEC227 of the International Electronically Commission.

6/10KV overhead insulated cable: GB14049-93 is equivalent to IEC60502 of the International Electronically Commission.

Additional standard: BS 7870 / TNB Specification (IEC 60502) / HD 626 S1 / NFC 33-209 / AS/NZS 3560-1 standards.

The maximum allowable long-term operating temperature of the conductor is -40°C~ +90°C

Environment Temperature:

Laying Temperature:

  The laying temperature of the cable should not be lower than -20℃.

Bending Radius:

Rated voltage 1KV cable: The cable outer diameter (D) less than 25mm, should not be less than 4D, and cable outer diameter (D) of 25mm and above, should not be less than 6D.

Rated voltage 10KV cable: The cable outer diameter should not be less than 20 (D + d) where D minus the actual outer diameter of the cable.

Delivery and Tolerance 

Delivery Length:

  The weight of cables less than 80kg are allowed to be delivered in rings, and the delivery length of short sections of the cable shall not exceed 5% of the total length of the delivery, or any length of cable may be delivered according to the agreement between the parties.

Error In Length:

  The measurement error of delivery length is ±0.5%.

Packaging, Transport and Storage:

Cables in rolls and coils should be neatly wound and properly packed; The cable tray shall comply with the provisions of JB/T8137-1999; The cable ends should be securely sealed, and the cable ends extending out of the disk should be covered with a protective cover, the length of the cable ends extending out of the disk should be less than 300mm.

It should be labeled with a content on the package of the cable: manufacturer name, model, specification, rated voltage, length, quality, manufacturing date, standard number or certification mark, the correct rotation direction of the cable tray, etc.

Transport is generally in the form of vehicles and ships, and the cable must be firmly fixed during transport to avoid bumping or tipping over to cause damage to the cable or disc.

Do not lay the cable tray flat; It is strictly forbidden to drop the cable tray containing the cable from a height during transportation.

The finished cable should be stored in an environment where the temperature is between 0 and 40℃and the humidity is below 85%, so that it is not directly exposed to sunlight or rain, and should be properly ventilated to keep the environment dry.

Installation Notice

Test

1.Routine test

Test item:conductor resistance, voltage resistance test, delivery length.

2.Sample test

Test item:insulation thickness, cable outer diameter, cable breaking force, insulation resistance, air oven aging test, shrinkage test, melting index, wear resistance and wear resistance of printed marks.

3.Type test

Test item:conductor resistance, insulation thickness, cable outer diameter, cable breaking force, voltage test, insulation resistance, air oven aging test, shrinkage test, melting index, wear resistance and wear resistance of printed marks. The performance requirements and test methods of product shall be in accordance with the provisions of standard GB/T 12527-2008.

Inspection and Acceptance

1. The products shall be inspected by the quality inspection department of the manufacturer before leaving the factory, and the products shall be accompanied by the quality inspection certificate.

2.The product shall be tested and accepted according to the regulations.

3.The sampling quantity of each batch shall be stipulated by the agreement between the two parties, and it shall be specified by the manufacturer if the customer does not request it.

4.If the test result of the sampling project is unqualified, the sample should be doubled, and if the second test of the unqualified project is still unqualified, it should be 100% inspected.

5.If there is any dispute between the manufacturer and the user on acceptance, arbitration test shall be conducted by an authority recognized by both parties.

Supervision

1.The supplier has the obligation to cooperate with the purchaser to provide relevant information in a timely manner without incurring any costs.

2.The supplier shall provide the convenient work and life to purchaser’s supervision representative.

3.The supplier shall inform the representative of the purchaser of the equipment supervision project and time before witnessing the site or stopping work for inspection.

4.The supervision representative of purchaser has the right to check the technical information related to the contract supervision equipment. If purchaser considers it necessary to copy and file, the supplier shall provide convenience.

5.The supplier shall provide relevant inspection, test records and reports to the supervision representative of the purchaser after the witness.
